A separate stack doing the same job: £200–£400/mo

Multi-site groups pay the same £100 per site: the more sites, the more it saves against separate subscriptions. A small commission (2.5%) applies only to optional online upsell payments, never to bookings or covers.

WHY FLAT

What per-cover pricing actually costs you.

The industry standard is a monthly fee plus a charge per cover booked online. It looks small on a quiet Tuesday and it is not small in December.

It peaks when your costs peak

Per-cover fees are highest in your busiest month, which is the month your wage bill, your stock bill and your energy bill are also highest.

It taxes the thing you are trying to grow

Every marketing campaign that works makes your software more expensive. That is a strange incentive to sign up to.

It pushes you off your own channel

Operators end up quietly discouraging online booking to keep the fee down, which costs more in lost covers than the fee ever saved.

It is unpredictable

A flat £100 is a line in your budget. A per-cover bill is a number you find out at the end of the month.

What you would otherwise be paying

A pub running the usual stack pays for a booking system at around £100 a month plus per-cover fees, an email or CRM tool at £30 to £60, a compliance app at £30 to £50 on top of the paper diary it does not replace, an HR and holiday app at £30 to £80, and a maintenance spreadsheet that is free and shows it. That is £200 to £400 a month before the per-cover fees, and none of those five systems talks to any of the others.

The subscriptions are the visible cost. The real one is that the guest database, the staff list and the site settings exist in five versions, so somebody is maintaining all of them and none of them is right. Consolidation is worth doing for that reason before it is worth doing for the money.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS ON COST

Pricing questions.

How much does Hendra One cost?

+

£100 per site per month, excluding VAT, with every module included. There are no tiers, no premium add-ons and no minimum contract. A four-site group pays £400 a month in total.

Are there per-cover or per-booking fees?

+

No, and there never will be. Neither you nor your guests pay a fee per cover. Per-cover pricing means your software bill peaks in December, exactly when your other costs do, and it charges you more for succeeding.

What is the 2.5% commission on?

+

It applies only to optional online upsell payments such as birthday packages, flowers or a bottle on the table. It never applies to bookings, covers or deposits. If you sell no upsells you pay nothing beyond your plan.

Is compliance or marketing charged separately?

+

No. Compliance, guest CRM and marketing, maintenance, rotas and HR, and head office reporting are all included. If we build it, you get it.

Is there a contract or minimum term?

+

No minimum term and no lock-in. Your guest database is exportable at any time, because it is yours: you are the data controller and we are your processor.

Do multi-site groups get a discount?

+

Every site is the same £100. There is no group tier, but because separate booking, CRM, compliance and HR subscriptions also charge per site, the saving against a split stack grows with each pub you add.
